What if a German Crémant could play in the top league of international sparkling wines? This question had been bubbling in the minds of winemaker Jürgen Hofmann and wine merchant Guido Walter for years. After the success of their semi-sparkling wine label Fritz Müller, the duo began experimenting with traditional bottle fermentation back in 2009.

In 2020, they launched their latest project: Haus Perlinger. Crafted with precision and vision, their two flagship Crémants — Perlinger Blanc de Blancs and Petit Perlinger Rosé —are made from grapes grown on the left bank of the Rhine in northern Rheinhessen. The vineyards around Appenheim and Ingelheim, reaching elevations of up to 350 meters, benefit from a true cool-climate hillscape and the limestone-rich soils of the Mainz Basin. The result? Wines with razor-sharp structure, minerality, and aging potential — proudly bearing the name "Rive Gauche d’Allemagne."

To bring these Crémants to life, Hofmann and Walter teamed up with rising Rheinhessen talent Lena Singer-Fischer, whose hands-on experience includes both her family’s sparkling estate in Ingelheim and world-class producers such as Larmandier-Bernier in Champagne. As Chef de Cave, she brings a refined sensitivity for texture, purity, and finesse — perfectly aligned with the team’s vision of low intervention winemaking and crystal-clear stylistic identity.

“An outstanding wine of exceptional
complexity and character. In short,
these are terrific wines. Haus Perlinger
is a new fantasy name in the German
sparkling wine sky...“
